KURODAI EXCHANGE
An art and writing exchange event that celebrates the platonic and romantic relationship between two of our favorite Haikyuu captains -Sawamura Daichi and Kuroo Tetsurou
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What is the event about?
The Kurodai exchange is an art and fanfic exchange that highlights the platonic / romantic relationship between Sawamura Daichi and Kuroo Tetsurou. Interested participants will be creating and receiving fan made content revolving around the two characters.
All works must portray Daichi and Kuroo as the main relationship, whether it be romantic or platonic. Background and minor relationships or pairings, however, are accepted.
2. What type of content will be allowed?
Any content that focuses on Kuroo and Daichi - AUs, canon compliance, timeskip periods and others - will be accepted. Specific preferences regarding what kind of AUs, tropes, or prompts you would like may be specified on your sign-up form.
Both SFW and NSFW content will be accepted. However, all creators who wish to create or receive NSFW content must be 18+ of age. Furthermore, those who wish to participate in NSFW content must also be able to list down the SFW content that they would want to create and receive, as it is possible that there may not be enough NSFW creators and requests.
3. How will the pairing system work?
The Moderator/s will be pairing participants based off of their preferences when it comes to the content they wish to create and receive. They will also be pairing the participants based on their preference of their pair’s age (ex: adults who wish to be paired with adults, etc). Though the pairing system might not be able to accommodate all priority preferences, the moderator/s will do their best to make this possible so that everyone will be able to enjoy the exchange.
4. How will the posting system work?
The pieces will also be posted on the different social media accounts of the exchange. The participants may also post their work on their social media account/s using the hashtag #Kurodaiexchange2021. The participants cannot, however, post their works before their scheduled posting dates.
All NSFW content must be tagged properly when posting on social media account/s. Artists are requested to at least have a SFW preview or post the full NSFW work on private web apps like privatter. Works that may be triggering in any way or form must also be properly tagged when posting.
5. How long will the creation period be?
Creators will have roughly 3 months to complete and submit their work, and there will be 3 check-ins for the team to see how far the creators’ progress are. For the check-ins, writers may share their outlines, word count or drafts. Artists may share their rough outlines, sketches or drafts. Date claims will be sent out for participants to reveal their pieces once the pieces are finished.
6. Can I drop out of the event?
As life is understandably a bit hectic at times, it is possible to drop out of the exchange event. Please just make sure to inform a moderator on or before the second check in so that a pinch hitter may be contacted and found.
7. Can I just be a supporter?
Of course! Once the exchange event discord is properly set-up, you may join the server and talk about any Kurodai goodness you may think of! Participants are also encouraged to use the server as a platform to both discuss ideas and have fun with one another.
EVENT GUIDELINES
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Each participant is expected to create 1 Kurodai based work to their assigned giftee. In return, they are gifted 1 work in return.
It is highly encouraged for each participant, even pinch hitters and supporters, to have a discord account, as this is where most communication will be taking place. The account is still under construction, but will be opened very soon!
If you are unable to join the check-in, please message a mod beforehand so that everyone is aware.
Dropping out of the event due to certain circumstances is allowed, but please make sure to communicate with the mod/s on or before Check-in Date 2, as it will be easier to contact a pinch hitter while staying on schedule.
If you have any concerns, you may always reach out to a mod or dm any of the event’s social media accounts. Once fully set-up, the discord server may also be used to answer your concerns.
POSITION GUIDELINES
Writers
Writers must create one written piece that has a minimum of 2500 words. Oneshots and multi chaptered fics are allowed, as long as the multi chaptered fic will be ready by the posting date (or, if not, then the fic must at least be 80-90% completed).
Artists
Artists must create one fully colored piece. Having a background for the piece is encouraged but not required.
Pinch Hitters
Writer pinch hitters must create one written piece that has a minimum of 2000 words.
Artist pinch hitters must create one fully colored piece. Backgrounds are not required.
If the pinch hitter has any concerns regarding word count or art completion, they may contact a mod to discuss it
